Grandir avec les éléments
Née à Paris, j’ai eu la chance de passer mes vacances d’été dans la maison de ma grand-mère en Bretagne. Là, je pouvais voir le mouvement de la marée qui venait et refluait sur plus d’un kilomètre : cela commença mon apprentissage des cycles et le langage des éléments : Air et Eau. J’eus l’occasion de les poursuivre lors de mes deux traversées de l’Atlantique sur un voilier de 9 mètres.
M’étant installée à Santa Fe en 1985, je fus immergée dans le pouvoir du désert et de ses roches brulantes. Là, je pus apprendre des élément Terre et Feu, grâce aux diverses cérémonies amérindiennes et au langage symbolique de la Roue de Médecine.
Ces quatre éléments m’ont ouvert la voie du chamane sur laquelle j’ai marché au cours des 30 années suivantes, partageant en France ses enseignements et la sagesse toltèque de don Miguel Ruiz. Growing into the elements
Born and raised in Paris, France, I had the chance to spend my summer vacations at my grandmother’s house in Brittany. There, I could watch the tide approach and recede half a mile every day. That connected me deeply with the cycles and languages of the elements: Water and Air. My two crossings of the Atlantic Ocean on a small sailing boat continued this initiation.
Having moved to Santa Fe, NM when I was 35, I was immersed in the power of the desert and incandescent rocks. It’s here that I learned from the elements: Earth and Fire. There I was initiated into the symbolic language of the Medicine Wheel of the Native tradition.
These four elements introduced me to the path of the shaman, which I walked for the next 30 years, sharing its teachings with my French tribe of origin along the way. To know more about my journey, please read my book Entering the Shaman's Eye.
Now, the elements have chosen to manifest themselves first through my photography and later through my paintings. I am the humble arm that serves them.
